Acupuncture at Weitz Sports Chiropractic and Nutrition is provided by

Tamara Kay Tifft L.Ac.
Licensed Acupuncturist

Tamara received her Master’s degree and diplomatic status as a professional practitioner of Acupuncture and Herbology from the Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2005.

Over ten years of professional experience, post graduate study, and an externship at the Venice Family Clinic have allowed Tamara the experience and qualifications to treat a wide variety of conditions such as pain management, neck and shoulder tension, back pain, sciatica, irritable bowel syndrome, stress, arthritis, sleep issues, anxiety/depression, and general well being.  Most importantly, her treatments really work!

She draws upon her undergraduate studies from the University of Illinois Chicago in Dietetics and Nutrition, to provide a holistic approach to health and well being.  She has worked with many people for weight management and detoxification, hormonal imbalance, food allergies, addictions, and digestive disorders with great success.

Tamara presently holds a professional license from the state of California.  Her technique is gentle and painless, while focusing on the relaxing healing potential of our mind-body connection.  With a history of being a National level gymnast under going Olympic training, she has experienced first hand the positive effects acupuncture has with pain reduction and healing of musculoskeletal injuries.  Elite athletes often use acupuncture as part of their training recovery program.

Tamara is currently accepting new patients and is available on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and even Sundays by special appointment.  I guarantee that you will love Tamara if you see her!

“Virtually every one of the patients that I have referred to Tamara have been raving about the great results they have had with her treatments. They are also impressed with her knowledge and her caring.  She is a true healer!”
